Jan. 13, 2019: "Butter Cup," Stacy Rene Erenberg

This was a hard week. My peoples, my family and my community at Large are all in deep crisis BUT to my surprise, in the midst of all that… this sweet little love song came into my ear in the middle of my work day. I ran to the hallway at work to record the sketch on my phone and worked the rest out on keys later. Even though this is a A Love Song for my Honey, it’s also a song that poses a question for the world: How do we really see each other? How do we show up, open up and lead with love?

This picture was taken at Lake Michigan over the winter break. We had just had one of those moments where you are truly vulnerable and open and really see each other on a heart level. And since this year is about sharing myself more, in a raw form; I’m sharing with you this pic because I felt truly free and happy to share some of this small glimpse of liberation, where we get to transcend time and space with those we love.

Special Thanks to my friend the amazing, talented and kind to the bone, Emmy Bean who plays ukulele and sings backgrounds on this tunes.
