All I’ve ever heard are stories

Some marvelous, but then, some were true

And I’m jealous of the memories

The man those people knew not so many years ago

The friendship that was shown not so long ago in time

Still there is a time, I’m filled with fear.

Some people, they tell me that I’m like you.

that’s what I’ll have to try to be, too.

Today I woke to my own grandkids

Filling my home with the sounds of their love

How lucky now to live the stuff

And I wonder… will they tell their kids my stories?
