Feb. 13, 2019: "It Snowed Again Outside Today," by Mr. Ben

I try to upstand and not bystand,

But I can’t seem to understand the why.

‘Why’ is just a question, and questions have no ground.

And in that rift, it’s hard to sift and take in what I’ve found.

Now I vow not to react, but interact

Action plans ask how.

‘How’ is just a question and questions have no ground

And in that space it’s hard to place where’s up and where is down.

So, I know kindness and blindness both grow root

when they’re given chance to grow.

Growth, it needs direction from connection to the ground.

Up and out, I scream and shout in silence and in sound.

Here I am, I act as I remain.

It snowed again outside today.
