March 11, 2019: "Never Get It Right," by Emmy Bean

Emmy Bean is a singer, performer, and teaching artist living in Chicago. She is also one-third of the band 80 Foots. Today she shares a song about the contradictions between what we say and what we do when we desire justice and healing, but we still carry within us legacies of violence.

Look for 80 Foots’ album, And That Will Be How it Will Be, on Bandcamp and streaming on iTunes, Spotify, and wherever you stream your streams.

If you’re in Chicago on March 23, come to hear Rise Up Music favorite Stacy Erenberg, along with Emmy Bean, 80 Foots, and many other great Chicago singers and songwriters at the Music Memory Project: Saturday, March 23, at 7pm at the Hairpin Lofts in Logan Square.
