Strange how it’s all such a balanced accord.
The stranger the risk the more wild the reward.
The more plain the truth, the more strangely it’s heard.
The stranger the story, the truer the words.
What if tomorrow I’ve stood idly by?
Could I even say that I know wrong from right?
How would I look my two sons in the eye?
When they ask someday — and they will — where was I?
My mind runs deep and wide.
My heart runs goddamn wild.
But my soul… who am I?
Sharing smoke under the moon on its side
Living by day what I’ve dreamed of at night
And I… I will never forget
Anything — anything — not any of it.
My mind runs deep and wide.
My heart runs goddamn wild.
And I won’t run or stand aside.
How could I? When to be here at all…
Thank you.
