March 27, 2019: "Man made moons.," by Mr. Ben

We live in the future.
We live in the future:
Manmade moons and concrete cocoons,
They now are our sutures.
Light confiscated at our finger tips flips
Night to day at the flick of the switch.
Flash floods of our planet’s black blood
Wash shiny metal coins in that represent bliss.
A sheeny screen is seen wherever one might look,
Soon enough replacing a face in a book.
Muscles to machine, whim to routine:
Oh, what little time it took.
It’s too bad. It’s too bad. It’s too bad that the world will end some day…
But the universe’ll surely make fine use
Of our former home’s particles: setting the loose.
