May 7, 2019: "There's No Turning Back," by Matt Halvorson

Careful… or you might just get what you wish for.
And maybe you won’t understand when it all slips right through your hands.

Careful… maybe you know what to ask for.
But then again, maybe you don’t. I guess there’s only one way to know.

Careful… or you might just get what you wish for.
So maybe you better think big for all our sakes, ‘cause I think that’s what it’ll take.

And careful… or you’ll get so used to the caution you’ll forget you’re really alive.
If you can hear me, open your eyes!

And maybe it’s all coming back now ‘cause we already know.
And maybe it’s all coming back now, but where did it go?
And maybe there’s no turning back now, ‘cause we know what we know.
And maybe there’s no turning back now, ‘cause where would we go?

And careful! Or you might just find that your safety — that you fought so hard to preserve — in the end is the thing you wish you could return.

And careful… or you might overlook what you’re made of.
But I think you’ll see in the end what I see in you, my friend.

Maybe there’s no one to save us ‘cause we’re already here!
And maybe there’s no one to save us ‘cause there’s nothing to fear!
