Jay is a forager, farmer, and James Beard nominated Chef. When not committing his time to the Orcas Island restaurant Houlme, he works on the new music project Saltwater. He has played in various bands like Seattles Bow+Arrow, heavy experimental punk group Onodrim, and mostly recently toured as the other half of the legendary The Microphones.

Saltwater is a new musical outlet exploring drone, folk, feedback and black metal. While punk in nature (always), Saltwater is meant to be able to move into whatever direction it happens to be going in.
