March 5, 2019: "I, My Favorite Bridge," by Matt Halvorson

I know my name when I hear it called
It sounds like a whisper screamed loud to the beat of my pulse
Yeah, I know my name
I know it’s coming, and I will come running
I’m not afraid

It’s time to stop pretending we’re not all that we are
The world might not be ending, but it’s sure falling apart
I know my name! I hear it being called out loud, and I am not afraid!

Most of the last year just went up in smoke
How strange to be back here, like I just awoke to you
You, my favorite water
And I, my favorite bridge

Yeah, I know my name when I hear it called
It sounds like an answer to a cry for help that I
Was unconsciously screamin’
Begging and pleading, searching for meaning
I’m not afraid.
