June 10, 2019: "Strange Vision," by Crowdsource Choir

“Strange Vision” is an original collaboration between the Rise Up Music Project and Crowdsource Choir performed live on June 6, 2019.

Crowdsource Choir is a drop-in choir that meets the first Thursday of each month at the Hillman City Collaboratory in Southeast Seattle. The mission of Crowdsource Choir is to reinvent choir for the 21st century and recover singing as an ancient communal art form that helps us participate in a magnificent whole. Spearheaded by Joel DeJong, Crowdsource Choir hosts monthly events featuring different local musicians who lead whomever shows up in learning and singing a popular song as a choir. (In May, for example, they did “Benny and the Jets,” by Elton John, led by Eva Walker of the Black Tones.)

“Strange Vision” was originally written by Matt Halvorson, Louie Opatz, Benjamin Conrad Gore, Jon Halvorson, and Joel DeJong, the man behind Crowdsource Choir.

Thank you to everyone who sang with us! It was so much fun.
